William Black

Based in Los Angeles, William Black leads an American producer/DJ project centered on a strain of melodic bass at the crossroads of EDM, future bass, and highly vocal pop songwriting. He came to prominence in the mid-2010s with a run of singles and remixes released on streaming platforms, before shaping his world around concept albums that tackle mental health, addiction, and recovery. His debut album, Pages, arrived in 2019, followed by Pieces in 2021 and The Nature of Hope in 2023; all extend a melodic, emotional, voice-forward aesthetic marked by progressive builds, understated drops, and dense electronic textures. Over the years, William Black has collaborated with several artists from the North American melodic- and future-bass scene, including ILLENIUM, SLANDER, Said The Sky, and Dabin, and has become part of the U.S. festival and club-tour circuit. His music speaks both to mainstage EDM crowds and to electronic-pop listeners, often employing song-like structures while preserving dancefloor energy.
