Trivecta
Under the name Trivecta, Sam Dobkin develops from Tampa, Florida an electronic project positioned between melodic dubstep, trance, drumstep and bass music, marked by a strong taste for melodic lines, vocal parts and contrasts between airy passages and denser, more impactful moments. Trivecta emerged in the mid-2010s with releases on Monstercat—most notably “One Night Only” featuring Yohamna Solange in 2014—and went on to build a catalogue of original singles, vocal tracks and remixes. His writing relies on a clear, readable structure, progressions inherited from trance and a dubstep approach driven more by emotion than by sheer rhythmic intensity. Over his career Trivecta has collaborated with several producers and singers from the North American bass scene and produced remixes, including one for Illenium, while also appearing in touring circles tied to melodic bass. His discography expanded with the album The Way Back Up in 2022, which gathers the main traits of the Trivecta sound: sung choruses, luminous textures, progressive tension and festival-oriented production without abandoning a melodic register.
