Ryan Beatty

Born in Clovis, California, Ryan Beatty first gained attention in the early 2010s with uploaded covers before releasing the single "Every Little Thing" in 2011 and the EP Because of You in 2012. After an initial teen-pop phase and several years of a forced hiatus, he re-emerged in 2016 with "Passion" and "Stay Gold", shifting his project toward more personal songwriting. His music has since occupied an alternative pop space threaded with alternative R&B, indie pop and, on some tracks, a more stripped-down indie folk sensibility. This evolution took shape through his collaborations with Brockhampton on Saturation II and Saturation III in 2017, and with the album Boy in Jeans in 2018. Beatty has continued to move within the American pop and alternative scenes, working with Kevin Abstract, Tyler, the Creator and Benny Blanco, while developing his own discography with Dreaming of David (2020) and Calico (2023), an album featuring more subdued, acoustic arrangements. He has also toured North America, first as an opening act and later as a headliner, and extended that run with Sweet Fortune in 2026. In parallel, Beatty has earned songwriting credits, notably on four tracks of Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter (2024).
