Matilda Mann
Born in London and rooted in West London, Matilda Mann has been developing an intimate pop-folk songwriting voice since the late 2010s, at the intersection of indie folk, folk-pop and a gentle, sparsely arranged pop. After attending the BRIT School she began releasing music independently, issuing the EPs If That Makes Sense (2020), Because I Wanted You to Know (2020), Sonder (2021) and You Look Like You Can’t Swim (2023). Her debut album, Roxwell, is set to be released in 2025. Her songs favor concise melodic structures, guitar often at the center and a hushed delivery, with lyrics focused on relationships, hesitations and everyday scenes. Her early tracks quickly led to opening slots for artists such as Arlo Parks, beabadoobee and The Staves. She later appears on “Borderline Insane” with spill tab in 2023 and added harmonies on “Fantasneeze” by Bombay Bicycle Club in 2024. That same year Matilda Mann supported Wallows on the Europe and UK legs of their tour, before also joining the bill for Role Model’s UK dates.
