Laundry Day
Formed in Manhattan in 2017 by friends from Beacon High School, Laundry Day now comprises Jude Ciulla-Lipkin, Sawyer Nunes, Henry Weingartner and Henry Pearl after Etai Abramovich left in 2024. The project took shape early in a DIY setting, with collective songwriting and multi-instrumental practice that foster a supple pop-rock sound marked by vocal harmonies, indie-pop choruses and a hip‑hop sensibility evident both in the phrasing and in a collage-like approach. Laundry Day quickly released Trumpet Boy and Keep It Bright in 2018, then Homesick in 2019 — an album co-produced with Romil Hemnani of Brockhampton that represented a milestone in their development. The band's trajectory has alternated between headlining tours and opening slots for The 1975, Clairo, Neon Trees and Teezo Touchdown, with appearances at festivals and stages such as Austin City Limits and Camp Flog Gnaw. After We Switched Bodies in 2022, Laundry Day moved toward a broader pop sound with Younger Than I Was Before in 2023, followed by EARWORM in 2025. Balancing group energy, internet culture and a New York heritage, Laundry Day has evolved its formula without breaking from its homemade beginnings.
