RONDÉ

Born within the Herman Brood Academie in Utrecht in the mid‑2010s, RONDÉ brings together singer Rikki Borgelt with a core of musicians oriented toward an indie pop that is both melodic and heavily synth‑driven. The band quickly developed a songwriting approach centered on direct choruses, clean guitars and electronic layers leaning toward synthpop and alternative pop, with a marked emphasis on vocal harmonies and luminous atmospheres. RONDÉ drew attention in the Netherlands with the single "Run", which marked the start of a regular presence on the national live scene and at festivals, before moving on to club tours and dates across Northern Europe. The eponymous debut album Rondé, released in 2017, established this aesthetic between radio‑friendly pop and more atmospheric textures, while Flourish, released in 2019, pushed the electronic arrangements further and focused the songwriting on introspective dance anthems. Through subsequent singles, including "Naturally" and "Bright Eyes", RONDÉ refined a sound centered on the group's collective energy—between driving rhythms, pulsing synths and foregrounded vocals—that positions the Dutch formation in an intermediate space between mainstream pop and the indie scene.
