Ofenbach
Based in Paris, Ofenbach is a duo of producers and DJs formed by childhood friends Dorian Lauduique and César de Rummel, who turned to house music in the mid-2010s. The Ofenbach project carved out a place in European dance music, blending pop structures, rock-inspired guitar riffs and retro references, with often soul- or pop-leaning vocals that reinforce the radio-friendly quality of their tracks. After several remixes, the duo drew attention with the single “Be Mine” in 2016, then followed up with “Katchi” in 2017 in collaboration with American singer Nick Waterhouse, further anchoring Ofenbach’s world at the crossroads between club aesthetics and rhythm-and-blues influences. Their discography thereafter unfolded through a run of dance-pop-oriented singles, including “Head Shoulders Knees & Toes” with Quarterhead and Norma Jean Martine in 2020 and “Wasted Love” with Lagique in 2021, developing an efficient sound focused on direct melodies. In 2022, Ofenbach released their debut full-length album, “I,” which brings together this melodic, vocal house approach while reflecting the duo’s evolution from the Parisian club scene to a broader circuit of festivals and concerts across Europe.
