Ne Obliviscaris
Formed in Melbourne in 2003 around Marc “Xenoyr” Campbell and Adam Cooper, Ne Obliviscaris develop a progressive metal with a strong extreme dimension, where harsh vocals, clean singing, violin and long structures intertwine, drawing as much from death and black metal as from more melodic writing sometimes close to classical music. The presence of violinist and vocalist Tim Charles, who joined the same year, quickly established Ne Obliviscaris’ identity, conceived as a live band capable of alternating tension, atmospheric passages and highly developed compositions. After the demo The Aurora Veil in 2007, Ne Obliviscaris released Portal of I in 2012, then Citadel in 2014, Urn in 2017 and Exul in 2023. Over the years the Australian band has toured Asia, Europe, the UK and North America, in contexts ranging from headlining tours to shared bills with acts from the extreme and progressive metal scenes. The course of Ne Obliviscaris has also been marked by several lineup changes, with bassist Martino Garattoni joining in 2017 and James Dorton on harsh vocals in 2025, while Tim Charles, Matt Klavins and Benjamin Baret remain at the heart of its evolution.
