Malik Djoudi
Between chanson française and electronic pop, Malik Djoudi crafts a world where French-language songwriting blends with stripped-down synthetic textures. A French artist from the independent scene, Malik Djoudi came to prominence in the mid-2010s with work centered on the voice—often in falsetto—and slow, melodic compositions marked by a marked economy of means. His first solo album, “Un” (2017), established the foundations of an aesthetic that mixes minimal synth-pop and intimate ballads, before “Tempéraments” (2019) confirmed this direction and expanded his palette through collaboration, notably with Étienne Daho on a duet. With “Troie” (2021), Malik Djoudi continued exploring melancholic electronic pop, where arrangements remain understated and the lyrics focus on affective relationships, doubt and identity. Regularly present on the stages of venues and festivals across France, Malik Djoudi moves between contemporary music networks, generalist programming and spaces more specialized in pop and electronic aesthetics.
