Manu Lanvin
Manu Lanvin, singer, guitarist and a leading figure in French blues rock, has been forging his path since the 1990s with raw, human, unfiltered energy. The son of actor Gérard Lanvin, he first made a name for himself between rock, film and writing before the stage became his natural territory. With his band The Devil Blues he sculpts a powerful sound, fed by electric blues, gritty rock and a sensitivity rooted in figures like Johnny Winter, Muddy Waters and Stevie Ray Vaughan. He releases albums and tours relentlessly — often more than 100 dates a year — driven by visceral guitar playing and a voice that favors authenticity over showmanship. His album Blues, Booze and Rock’n’Roll (2020) perfectly captures this spirit: a modern, dirty, living, generous blues that never cheats. On stage he is a free animal, a storyteller, a musician who doesn’t try to charm so much as to pull you in. Unadorned, direct and with the instinct of those who live what they play, Manu Lanvin proves that blues rock, far from being a fossilized inheritance, remains a burning language when it comes from the gut.
