Krissy Matthews

Born in 1992 and linked to both the United Kingdom and Norway, Krissy Matthews develops early on a foothold in blues rock, with a guitarist-vocalist approach marked by British electric blues, classic rock and a playing style nourished by long improvisations. Discovered as a teenager after an on-stage appearance with John Mayall in Norway, Krissy Matthews then forms his first bands in England and begins his discography with Blues Boy in 2006, followed by No Age Limit in 2007, Allen in Reverse in 2009 and Hit the Rock in 2011. His career subsequently takes the form of a trio or an enlarged group depending on the period, on European blues and rock stages, with regular live activity. Matthews gradually broadens his repertoire by incorporating more melodic hard rock, soul and jam blues into his writing, as on Scenes from A Moving Window in 2015, Monster in Me in 2019 and Pizza Man Blues in 2021. In 2024, Krissy Matthews releases the double album Krissy Matthews & Friends, recorded with several guests from blues and rock, extending a trajectory built between on-stage virtuosity, composition and collaborations.
