Dirty Deep

Born in Strasbourg around Victor Sbrovazzo, Dirty Deep took shape in 2010 as a solo project before becoming a trio with the arrival of drummer Geoffroy Sourp in 2012 and bassist Adam Lanfrey in 2015. Dirty Deep’s trajectory is rooted in a raw electric blues, fed by garage rock, folk blues and a direct approach to live performance, with harmonica, guitar riffs and a dense rhythmic backbone playing a prominent role. After the EP Wrong Way - I’m Going Home in 2011, Dirty Deep released Back to the Roots in 2012 and Shotgun Wedding in 2014, still marked by the transition from solo to duo. The expansion into a power trio accompanied What’s Flowing in My Veins in 2016 and Written in Coffee Grounds the same year. With Tillandsia in 2018, Dirty Deep refined a more collective sound, sitting between blues roots, rock tension and more open structures. Foreshots, released in 2020, took a more acoustic, tightened direction, recorded with a more organic approach. Over the years Dirty Deep has toured in France and Central Europe, appearing at events such as the Binic Blues Festival, Cabaret Vert and the Deep Blues Festival in Clarksdale.
