Jonathan Roy
Jonathan Roy is a Québécois singer-songwriter who blends pop, folk and soul influences into introspective songwriting, marked by a warm, slightly grainy voice. The son of the famed goaltender Patrick Roy, he turned to music early and forged his artistic identity away from the sporting spotlight, releasing several albums that trace his evolution. After beginning in French, he established himself internationally with his English-language records, notably Life Distortions (2023), which includes the songs that brought him to a global audience, such as 'Keeping Me Alive', which went viral thanks to its live version. Guided by a human-centered sensitivity and organic production, Jonathan Roy has built a sincere, independent trajectory in which each song explores resilience, self-transcendence and the search for light.
