Bobby Bazini
Born in Mont-Laurier, Quebec, Bobby Bazini belongs to the lineage of English-language singer-songwriters who blend soul, folk, and pop with an Americana flair. Discovered in the late 2000s with the track “I Wonder,” he has steadily built a career focused on songwriting, carried by a husky yet melodic voice, acoustic guitars, and arrangements steeped in vintage soul. His debut album, “Better in Time,” was released in 2010, followed by “Where I Belong” in 2014, recorded between Canada and the United States, and “Summer Is Gone” in 2016, which deepened a more stripped-down, melancholic aesthetic. With “Move Away” in 2020, Bazini explored sounds still marked by soul yet open to a more contemporary pop approach, while preserving his roots in the singer-songwriter tradition. A regular presence on Canadian and European stages, he alternates between concert halls and festivals, surrounding himself with musicians from the pop, folk, and soul scenes to give his compositions a live dimension that reflects the spirit of the record.
