Lee Foss

Born in DeKalb, Illinois and shaped by Chicago’s club scene in the 1990s, Lee Foss developed a house approach influenced by Chicago house, disco, R&B, 1990s hip-hop and Detroit techno. Active since the early 2000s, his trajectory accelerated after meeting Jamie Jones in Ibiza, a partnership that led to the creation of the Hot Creations label and later the Hot Natured project, a quartet formed with Jamie Jones, Ali Love and Luca C. In both his productions and DJ sets, Foss moves between house, deep house, tech house and techno, favoring supple grooves, vocal lines and synthetic textures. His discography includes several EPs on Culprit, Wolf + Lamb, No. 19 and Hot Creations, and the solo album Alchemy (2017); Hot Natured released Different Sides of the Sun in 2013. He also launched the label Repopulate Mars and its sublabel South of Saturn, while maintaining an international DJ career in clubs and venues such as fabric in London, Watergate in Berlin and Spybar in Chicago.
