Patrick Topping

Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, Patrick Topping trained in the North East of England before emerging in the early 2010s in the wake of British house and tech‑house. His early tracks, released on labels such as Hot Creations, Relief and Turbo, established him on the UK club circuit and subsequently across Europe. Patrick Topping developed a groove‑centred sound featuring thick bass, acid lines, short vocal loops and a techno‑derived tension while remaining grounded in house logic. Over subsequent releases he shifted this foundation toward a more direct aesthetic marked by rave energy, visible in TRICK, the label he launched in 2019 to host his productions and those of artists close to that scene. Through DJ sets in clubs, festival appearances and regular single and EP releases, Patrick Topping has carved out a precise, physical and instantly intelligible form of dancefloor electronic music.
