Dierks Bentley
Born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1975, Dierks Bentley emerged on Nashville’s country scene in the early 2000s, moving there to write and perform in clubs. His debut studio album, titled Dierks Bentley (2003), established a contemporary country sound driven by electric guitars, honky‑tonk influences and songwriting focused on the road, relationships and everyday life. Subsequent records, including Modern Day Drifter (2005), Long Trip Alone (2006) and Feel That Fire (2009), continued this approach, alternating uptempo tracks with more introspective ballads. With Up on the Ridge (2010), Bentley foregrounded his interest in bluegrass and a more acoustic approach, before returning to a mainstream country sound on Home (2012), Riser (2014) and Black (2016). The Mountain (2018) and Gravel & Gold (2023) confirmed his blend of modern country, bluegrass touches and a light rock grounding, supported by frequent collaborations within the Nashville scene and a steady touring presence across North America. A member of the Grand Ole Opry since 2005, Bentley remains associated with direct, melodic songwriting crafted for both stage and record.
