Inferi

Formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2006, Inferi evolves in a technical and melodic death metal that combines execution velocity, highly worked guitars, dense structures and discreet symphonic touches. The band first releases Divinity in War in 2007, then The End of an Era in 2009, before a period of slowdown followed by a revival at the beginning of the 2010s with a lineup reshaped around guitarists Malcolm Pugh and Mike Low. This new phase leads to The Path of Apotheosis in 2014 on The Artisan Era, an album that confirms Inferi’s taste for more elaborate arrangements, at the crossroads of melodic death metal, technical death metal and certain contributions from black metal. Inferi continues in this direction with Revenant in 2018, then the EP Of Sunless Realms in 2020 and the album Vile Genesis in 2021. On stage, Inferi has circulated both on the American metal circuit and in Europe, notably alongside bands such as Archspire, Beneath the Massacre, Vulvodynia or Alterbeast. Inferi’s music rests on a balance between aggression, rhythmic precision and melodic sense, with an extreme vocal placed at the center of a very tight ensemble.
