Hybrid Minds

Hybrid Minds is a UK melodic drum & bass duo comprising Josh White and Matt Lowe, active on the electronic scene since the early 2010s. First noticed through a string of liquid drum & bass releases, the project established itself with a focus on vocals, piano-led melodies, and cinematic atmospheres while retaining the genre’s rhythmic drive. In 2013, Hybrid Minds released the album 'Mountains', cementing a highly melodic approach to drum & bass, followed by 'Elements' in 2017 on their own imprint, Hybrid Music, furthering the blend of atmospheric textures, deep basslines, and sung hooks. On stage, Hybrid Minds mainly perform DJ sets, often joined by vocalists such as Charlotte Haining or by MCs, moving between UK clubs, dedicated drum & bass nights, and European festivals. Their discography spans singles, EPs, and remixes, consistently emphasizing a warm, introspective, and accessible sound at the crossroads of rave culture and pop-leaning electronic songwriting.
