Wilkinson

Active on the British drum and bass scene since the early 2010s, Wilkinson, born Mark Wilkinson, hails from Hammersmith in London. He first made a name for himself as a producer on RAM Records, releasing the single “Moonwalker / Samurai” in 2010. His debut studio album, Lazers Not Included (2013), established a melodic, vocal-led drum and bass crafted for both club and radio, notably featuring the single “Afterglow” with Becky Hill. Wilkinson continued that direction with Hypnotic (2017), where punchy basslines sit alongside more atmospheric passages and pop-leaning structures. At the same time the DJ/producer has released numerous remixes and collaborations within the UK electronic and pop scenes, and explored a more immersive, cinematic side of the genre with Portals (2020), a joint project with Sub Focus. With Cognition (2022), Wilkinson moves between vocal drum and bass, darker instrumental tracks and forays into a broader dance register, maintaining a songwriting focus on melodies and crescendos performed live at major festivals and clubs in the UK and internationally.
