Eric Steckel

Born in Pennsylvania, USA, Eric Steckel became known at a very young age on the blues‑rock scene, building his reputation through club shows and dates on regional and later national circuits. A guitarist and singer, Steckel’s playing is rooted in electric blues and Southern rock, with songs built around dense riffs, a massive guitar sound and a deep, direct vocal. From his teens he recorded his first albums independently and honed a repertoire that mixes covers of blues standards with original material strongly influenced by contemporary rock. He often performs in a power trio, a format that allows extended instrumental passages and plenty of room for improvisation in concert while retaining simple song structures. His tours regularly take him to Europe and North America, where he moves between specialist clubs, blues festivals and rock stages, building over the years a discography focused on modern blues with touches of soul and hard rock.
