H2O

Born in the mid-1990s out of New York’s hardcore scene, H2O centers around singer Toby Morse and belongs to the tradition of American melodic hardcore punk. Formed in 1994 in New York, H2O developed a direct sound characterized by fast tempos, chant-like gang vocals and lyrics focused on loyalty, friendship, family and everyday life within the punk community. Their self-titled debut arrived in 1996, followed by Thicker Than Water in 1997 and F.T.T.W. in 1999, which established the band on international tours and on stages shared with other hardcore and punk acts from the US and Europe. In the early 2000s, Go (2001) signaled a more melodic phase, while Nothing to Prove (2008) and Use Your Voice (2015) returned to a more compact approach, balancing fast hardcore with more sung passages. Based in the United States but frequently on the road, H2O maintains a close relationship with the live scene, offering accessible hardcore built on simple structures, repetitive choruses and an aesthetic that favors collective energy and audience participation.
