Strike Anywhere

Born in Richmond, Virginia in the late 1990s, Strike Anywhere continues the lineage of American melodic hardcore punk while adding a strong political and anti-fascist dimension. The band blends fast tempos, punk-rock-derived choruses and a rougher, hardcore-driven edge, with vocals that alternate urgency, clear enunciation and steady intensity. Strike Anywhere first drew attention in the early 2000s with the EP Chorus of One and the albums Change Is a Sound (2001) and Exit English (2003), which established their presence on North American and European punk and DIY stages. Their trajectory continued with Dead FM (2006) and Iron Front (2009), where the band retained a direct lyrical approach focused on social issues, political resistance and forms of solidarity. After a period of reduced activity, Strike Anywhere returned with the EP Nightmares of the West in 2020, maintaining a tense, melodic and engaged sound. Over the years they have preserved an identity between melodic hardcore, punk rock and post-hardcore, without losing the collective energy of independent circuits.
