Mike Andersen

Danish guitarist and singer Mike Andersen has been developing, since the early 2000s, a musical universe centered on blues and soul, with strong roots in the Northern European roots scene. Born in Denmark and shaped by contact with the great voices of American rhythm and blues, Andersen writes and sings in English, favoring concise song formats in which the guitar supports a strong emphasis on vocals and melodies. Alternating between solo projects and work with the Mike Andersen Band, he has built his career around studio albums and live recordings released on Danish and European labels, placing him at the crossroads of electric blues, contemporary soul and more intimate songwriting. On stage, Mike Andersen performs in clubs and at festivals, often in a tight lineup, in a register where mid-tempo grooves, soul ballads and touches of roots rock coexist while keeping a clear link to the blues tradition.
