Pixel Grip

Pixel Grip is a Chicago trio formed by Rita Lukea, Jonathan Freund and Tyler Ommen that blends raw electronics, sensual synth-pop and industrial energy. Their sound draws as much from cold wave as from house and techno, creating music that is dark, physical and hypnotic. From the start the group has established itself as a distinctive voice within the American queer scene, turning the dancefloor into a space of total freedom. Pixel Grip’s tracks pair driving rhythms, synthetic textures and deeply felt vocals, oscillating between fragility and power. Their records, including ARENA and their most recent project, explore the tension between desire, rage and exaltation, in a mix where the night becomes a field for political and emotional expression.
