Years Of Denial

Behind Years of Denial are the French musician, DJ and producer Jérôme Tcherneyan and the Czech performance artist, DJ and producer Barkosina Hanusova, united in a Franco‑Czech duo that blends post‑punk, industrial music, EBM, dark electro and rave culture. Years of Denial is built around a live format in which repetitive rhythms, taut synth lines and abrasive textures interact with Barkosina’s voice, used as a central element that is both narrative and physical. Their work moves between the club and more experimental forms: on one hand a frontal approach to dance music, on the other improvised, more cinematic ambient performances marked by isolationism and a search for slow‑burning tension. This dual orientation gives Years of Denial a distinctive place at the crossroads of dark wave, industrial, electronic and performative scenes. The project continues trajectories already connected to DJing, production and live performance, bringing them together in a nocturnal, minimal and sensory aesthetic where Years of Denial combines pulse, coldness and psychedelic drift.
