Echoberyl

A Paris‑based darkwave and coldwave project, Echoberyl develops a sombre electronic world nourished by post‑punk, synth‑pop and the aesthetic of film soundtracks. Active since the late 2010s, the duo builds its tracks around a melodic female voice, pronounced bass lines and synthetic textures that alternate between slow‑burn tension and more dance‑oriented pulses. Echoberyl’s early releases appeared digitally and later on vinyl and CD via independent labels, gradually placing the project within the European darkwave scene. Across several EPs and albums released during the 2020s, Echoberyl has shown a taste for conceptual narratives and references to genre cinema, TV series and parallel universes, with lyrics that address dream, alienation and memory. On stage, Echoberyl translates this imagery through a compact voice‑and‑machines setup and crafted visuals, favouring clubs and events devoted to dark music while remaining committed to primarily digital distribution of its output.
