Beret
Born in Seville in 1996, Francisco Javier Álvarez Beret—known simply as Beret—developed his career beginning in 2013 by posting homemade recordings online. Beret performs Spanish-language pop with a strong melodic focus, positioned between contemporary ballad and pop song, with tracks built around the voice and prominent choruses. His early projects appeared quickly with Efímero and Vértigo in 2015, followed by Ápices in 2016. In 2018 Beret signed with Warner Music as his reach expanded in Spain and later across Latin America. This period notably included the collaboration “Vuelve” with Sebastián Yatra. His discography continued with the album Prisma in 2019 and Resiliencia in 2022. Throughout his trajectory Beret alternates solo releases and occasional collaborations—among them with Reik, Omar Montes and Estopa—while maintaining a clear, contemporary pop aesthetic rooted in short, direct song formats.
