Antonio Orozco

Born in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat near Barcelona in 1972, Antonio Orozco established himself on the Spanish pop scene by blending singer-songwriter craft, pop rock and flamenco influences rooted in his Andalusian connections. He started out performing in small venues between Catalonia and southern Spain before releasing his debut album, Un reloj y una vela, in 2000. The record defined a style based on guitar, an expressive vocal register and lyrics focused on relationships and everyday life. He followed with Semilla del silencio (2001) and El principio del comienzo (2004), which confirmed his mix of ballads and more uptempo tracks, and continued with Cadizfornia (2006) and Renovatio (2009), while engaging in occasional collaborations with other Spanish-speaking pop and flamenco artists. A compilation titled Diez, released in 2011, reviewed the first decade of his repertoire; Dos orillas (2013), Destino (2015) and Aviónica (2020) then pushed Orozco toward a broader pop sound, incorporating Latin-tinged elements and more electronic arrangements without abandoning his intimate songwriting. Alongside his studio albums, Antonio Orozco has toured across Spain, appeared regularly on television and served as one of the coaches on the show La Voz, further cementing his presence in the Spanish-language music landscape.
