CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso

Born in Buenos Aires, Catriel Guerreiro and Ulises Guerriero — childhood friends who came up through the rock group Astor — CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso established themselves from 2018 with a formula that blends experimental trap, hip‑hop, pop and electronic music, while maintaining a strong taste for abrupt shifts in tone, live textures and collaborations with rock, house and jazz fusion. The duo emerged in the first wave of Argentine urban music with tracks such as “Piola,” “Jala Jala,” “Ouke” and “Cono Hielo,” and stood out on stage with a setup accompanied by musicians, far from mere playback. After a break during which each pursued solo work — CA7RIEL with El disko and Paco Amoroso with Saeta, both in 2021 — they revived the project in 2022 with “Paga Dios” and “En el After,” followed by an international tour. Their first duo album, Baño María, was released in 2024 and extends this shifting aesthetic, between urban energy, pop hooks and a taste for the absurd. Their Tiny Desk appearance in 2024 further broadened the duo’s audience, before the EP Papota came out in 2025.
