Omar+

Raised just north of London, Omar+ is developing a DJ and electronic producer project where contemporary RnB vocals intersect with direct house and 4x4 UK garage rhythms. He draws as much from the harmonies of Brandy and SWV as from more recent touchstones like PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake, while allowing an imagination informed by Tim Burton’s world to surface. His Punjabi and Gujarati roots also help shape a distinct musical identity at the junction of British club codes and an RnB-inherited melodic sensibility. Across his early releases, Omar+ has attracted attention from artists across different scenes, including Lancey Foux and Josh Baker. This still-emerging trajectory outlines a hybrid format—designed for the dancefloor but open to vocal textures and more atmospheric songwriting—with new productions announced for 2025.
