Angel Du$t

Born out of Baltimore's hardcore scene, Angel Du$t developed around vocalist and guitarist Justice Tripp as a side project to Trapped Under Ice and Turnstile before establishing itself as a full-fledged band. Angel Du$t began in fast, direct hardcore punk and gradually broadened its vocabulary toward more melodic rock, drawing on power pop, surf rock and indie sounds, with a marked taste for catchy choruses and bright guitars. Having worked with labels such as React! Records, Pop Wig and Roadrunner, the band has released albums including A.D. (2014), Rock the Fuck on Forever (2016), Pretty Buff (2019), YAK: A Collection of Truck Songs (2021) and Brand New Soul (2023), which illustrate this transition from a sound deeply rooted in hardcore to more open and contrasting forms of rock. Between tours on the international punk circuit and appearances on more mainstream stages, Angel Du$t moves between several audiences and generations while keeping a strong link to the DIY culture and networks that grew out of the American hardcore scene.
