Built around Peter Hook’s melodic, front-and-center bass lines, the band leans into the tension between early post-punk urgency and the later new wave pulse, with setlists often shaped like a full-album journey rather than a simple greatest-hits run. Expect familiar songs rebuilt for the stage: guitars and drums driving the momentum, synth parts translated into a rock-band attack, and that Manchester atmosphere kept intact without turning into a museum piece.
Also on the bill, The Chameleons return to the kind of dark, spacious guitar sound that made their early records a cornerstone of atmospheric post-punk. The Wedding Present add their own angle: fast, taut indie rock around David Gedge’s direct writing, mixing jangle-pop clarity with sharper noise-rock edges.
