A concert marking Sham 69's 50th anniversary with Jimmy Pursey, Dave Parsons, Dave Treganna (Kermit) and Spike T Smith. Sham 69 is a British punk rock band formed in the mid-1970s and booked for numerous festivals. Jimmy met Miles Copeland (manager of The Police), who ran Step Forward and Illegal Records. Jimmy secured a headlining slot at Acklam Hall on 21 July 1977. The supporting acts, Chelsea, The Lurkers and The Cortinas, were all on Step Forward Records. Sham 69 released the label's first single, I Don’t Wanna, in August 1977. Thanks to the success of this track, Sham 69 filled venues and signed with Polydor Records for a four-album deal.
Albie Slider was replaced by Dave Treganna (Kermit) after a studio brawl when Dave Parsons re-recorded Albie's bass parts. In January 1978, Polydor released the single Borstal Breakout, which did not chart, but the album Tell Us The Truth, released a month later, peaked at No. 25. On 30 April 1978, Jimmy joined The Clash on stage at Victoria Park for Rock Against Racism. In the same week, Polydor released Sham 69's second single, Angels With Dirty Faces, which sent the band to Top of the Pops. In July 1978, the release of the single If The Kids Are United put Sham 69 in the media spotlight. That summer, the band played at the Reading Festival alongside The Jam. In October 1978 Sham 69 released the second album, That’s Life, accompanied by the single Hurry Up Harry, which reached the Top 10. Questions & Answers was released in March 1979 and met with success, and then in July 1979 the single Hersham Boys became the band's biggest hit. Sham 69 remains a very active live band with a sound that defined 1977.

The Meffs is a britpunk duo formed in Colchester, Essex, in 2019 by Lily Hopkins (guitar and vocals) and Lewis Copsey (drums and backing vocals). The band is known for its political lyrics and on-stage energy. The Meffs have recently toured with Joan Jett & The Blackhearts and the Levellers.
Knock Off is a punk trio influenced by the British punk scene of the early 1980s. Their sound is raw, with catchy choruses. Formed in September 2013, Knock Off's repertoire draws on football, anger, disillusion with the state of the country and daily life, with also a touch of humor, such as the track Love Song. A Knock Off show consists of fast, direct songs designed to leave a lasting impression on the audience.
