Alex Stephens, also known as Strawberry Guy, heads to Paris for a concert at Café de la Danse on 23 September 2026. Since his first tracks released in 2018, initially conceived as a simple pleasure of writing, the Welshman based in Liverpool has nurtured an intimate, dreamlike pop, at the crossroads of bedroom pop, dream pop and a subtle psychedelic touch.
On stage, Strawberry Guy delivers keyboard-driven songs, with chiaroscuro melodies and a hushed production that leaves room for emotion. His universe plays with colours and sensations, with arrangements that evoke as much seventies pop as the mood of certain film soundtracks, while always keeping that taste for nuance and movement.
From the EP Taking My Time to Be to the album Sun Outside My Window, including 'Mrs Magic' and its more stripped-back reworkings, he shapes a simple, direct writing in which details matter. An evening to let oneself be carried along, without rushing.
