Jeanne Cherhal returns to the stage with her unmistakable blend of French chanson and piano-driven pop, underpinned by writing that faces everyday life squarely. Author, composer, singer, but also pianist and bassist, she plays with nuance: humor that surfaces, tenderness, more introspective angles, always with precise words and a very direct way of telling her stories.
Across her albums, from Douze fois par an to L’Eau, including Histoire de J. or L’an 40, she has built a coherent repertoire, capable of being intimate as well as expansive depending on the arrangements.
