Info
Anthony Hamilton returns to Paris on August 6, 2026, at the Cabaret Sauvage. A singer, songwriter and producer from Charlotte, he made his breakthrough in the early 2000s with Charlene and the album Comin’ from Where I’m From. On stage, his deep, gospel-tinged voice runs through a soul grounded in R&B and southern soul, with lyrics about relationships, faith and everyday life, delivered with fluid phrasing and a gritty timbre.
On the bill are the songs that have marked his discography — Ain’t Nobody Worryin’, The Point of It All, Back to Love — as well as more recent tracks from Love Is the New Black. A GRAMMY winner, he has moved between soul, hip-hop and R&B through numerous collaborations, and has lent his voice to film, from American Gangster to the song “Freedom” for Django Unchained. The concert centers on a repertoire rooted in the African-American vocal tradition, ranging from ballads to mid-tempo grooves.
