Info
On October 30, 2026, at University of Wolverhampton at The Halls in Wolverhampton, The Wonder Stuff bring their Black Country alternative-rock DNA back to the stage. Built around Miles Hunt’s sharp-edged songwriting, the band’s sound moves fast between taut guitars and big, very British choruses, with that dry, biting streak that made them stand out from the late-80s grebo crowd.
Expect a set that can jump from the early charge of The Eight Legged Groove Machine through the more colourful, broadened writing of Hup and Never Loved Elvis, where folk and country touches started to sneak in, with violin and banjo adding a different bite to the noise. Since reforming in 2000, they’ve kept the same mix of melody and live drive across later records too, so this one should feel less like a nostalgia lap and more like a band still pushing its own formula in real time.
