Info
Darkside is staging a residency in Paris at La Gaîté Lyrique on 8 and 9 July 2026, presenting four concerts conceived as a playground for the stage. The trio formed by Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington, joined by Tlacael Esparza on percussion, continues the momentum from their Los Angeles shows in autumn 2025: extended sets constructed as a flow in which pieces transform through improvisation. Between electronic textures, slowly spiraling guitars and discreet pulses, the group draws on its entire repertoire and rearranges it live, without seeking a fixed version.
The residency format allows them to explore several paths: variations from one night to the next, lengthened transitions, recurring themes, possible guests and open dialogue with the audience. The energy comes as much from the sound as from the collective interplay, with Esparza anchoring and relaunching, Harrington stretching the material and Jaar modulating voice and rhythms. One moves between slowed-down club, nocturnal rock and psychedelic excursions, with a way of letting the music breathe while pushing it elsewhere. At La Gaîté Lyrique, these two Parisian evenings promise to be a succession of singular moments, conceived for the stage and for the moment.
