Against The Current

On 12 March 2026 Against The Current will play Melkweg in Amsterdam. The American trio from Poughkeepsie — vocalist Chrissy Costanza, guitarist Dan Gow and drummer Will Ferri — moves between melodic pop rock, pop punk and alternative, with tight rhythm guitars, electronic touches and a voice that takes center stage. Since the early 2010s the band built an online following with covers and original tracks, followed by the EPs Infinity (2014) and Gravity (2015), debut album In Our Bones (2016) and Past Lives (2018), on which their pop side and synths were given more space.

In 2017 the trio teamed up with Riot Games for the song “Legends Never Die” for the League of Legends World Championship, a collaboration that opened the door to the gaming scene. With the EP Fever (2021), ATC sound tighter and darker without losing their knack for choruses. Live, it’s about immediate hooks, solid grooves and compact songs that shift between vulnerable and fierce. A set that captures their trajectory, from early online buzz to years of touring.
