Harpy
Emerging from the British alternative scene, Harpy develops a universe at the crossroads of goth, alt-pop and alt-metal, with dark, melodic and taut songwriting. Harpy surfaced in the early 2020s with tracks that combine pop choruses, shadowy textures and rock power in a direct format that keeps melody at the centre. Their style rests on marked contrasts between fragility, intensity and an eye for detail, blending a dark-pop aesthetic with metal accents without confining itself to a single register. The rapid online circulation of their music accompanied this rise in visibility, before being picked up by several British media outlets and radio stations, including BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Kerrang! and Rock Sound. Harpy is thus part of a new generation of British artists blurring the lines between alternative pop, heavy rock and gothic imagery, with a project conceived for both listening and the live stage.
