Info
Ben Kweller returns to the stage on June 4, 2026 at the Trabendo in Paris. He is presenting Cover the Mirrors, his seventh album, born after the death of his son Dorian in 2023. More than an album of mourning, it is a reflection on a lifetime of music, where loss and love answer one another to assert a simple idea: carry on. Released on May 30 on his label Noise Company, the album links past and present and finds its balance between electric bursts and taut ballads.
From Radish’s Texas days in the 1990s to the surge of his solo career signaled by Sha Sha (2002), Kweller has always moved between indie rock, power pop and folk. Straightforward guitars, direct melodies, precise songwriting: his signature has been refined across records from Changing Horses to Go Fly a Kite, with tours shared alongside artists such as Jeff Tweedy and Ed Sheeran. A free-wheeling trajectory, grounded in clear, personal songwriting.
One day he catches Dorian, aka ZEV, composing in his room. That spark, and the tragedy that followed, run through Cover the Mirrors and provide the concert’s framework: playing to pass things on, to keep that connection alive. At the Trabendo you find that gentle tension between restraint and impulse that runs through his songs, from early tracks to the newly released material. A stage return conceived as a continuous thread stretched between his beginnings and the present moment.
