Fat Freddy’s Drop return to the stage in 2026 with a tour that puts Based On A True Story back at the center. Released in 2005, this debut album established the Wellington band with a sound that blends reggae, soul, dub, funk and electronic music. Twenty years on, they perform it in full live, celebrating the legacy of their stage brother Chris MU Faiumu, who recently passed away. “Honoring our intentions with MU also means playing this album live, with all our heart,” sums up singer Dallas Tamaira.
