Chimène Badi presents Gospel & Soul, la voix et l’âme, a project that extends the interlude she began with her first volume. After Chimène chante Piaf, which was certified gold, and the gospel single “Les 3 cloches,” she returns with a selection of timeless songs reimagined in a gospel and soul vein, somewhere between English‑language standards and francophone heritage. The set features pieces associated with Johnny Hallyday, Amy Winehouse, Céline Dion, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson, alongside previously unreleased tracks written by French songwriters such as Ycare and Tété.
Backed by a gospel choir and a brass section, Chimène Badi’s voice links French chanson with North American influences. With more than twenty years in the industry and 3.5 million albums sold, she brings this repertoire back to the stage in a format conceived for live performance.
