Hugorm
Born in Klitmøller on Denmark’s west coast, Hugorm took shape in 2017 around Simon Kvamm, Morten Gorm and Árni Bergmann, three musicians based in the same town. Hugorm develops an electro‑rock sung in Danish, featuring taut guitars, electronic pulses and direct songwriting that moves between alternative rock, synthetic pop and restrained noise tension. The project also extends ties already present in Simon Kvamm’s career, notably with Nephew and De Eneste To; Árni Bergmann has long worked alongside him as a producer and sound engineer. After the EP Folk Skal Bare Holde Deres Kæft (2020), Hugorm released the albums Kom vi flygter (2020), Tro, hug og kærlighed (2022) and Drømmehug (2024). Across its releases Hugorm maintains a compact, nervous format while occasionally opening its discography to guests such as Benjamin Hav on “Der er sket noget” and Frank Hvam on “Mig & Frank”. Hugorm’s trajectory sits within the current Danish scene, between forward‑facing rock and electronic production.
