Peet
Anchored in the Brussels scene, Peet has established himself as a rapper and songwriter within the group Le 77, a collective that brought him attention on Belgian stages before he began playing more dates in France. With Peet, francophone rap takes on a very melodic shape, driven by a measured flow, often sung choruses and a marked taste for jazzy, soul and funk atmospheres in which live instruments occupy a prominent place. After his start with Le 77, Peet has developed a more introspective solo path centered on everyday stories, personal memories and observations of city life, delivered in a direct, sometimes world-weary but approachable tone. This direction was realized with the album Mignon in 2021 and continued with Todo Bien in 2023, which extend the balance between rap, groove and more pop-oriented openings. On stage, Peet alternates intimate pieces with more upbeat numbers, maintaining particular attention to sonic nuance and textual clarity, gradually securing his place in the Belgian and francophone rap landscape.
