ABSOLEM

Born in Liège and active in Brussels, Absolem is part of the French-speaking Belgian rap scene with a writing focused on rhyme, a deep voice, and clear diction that give his tracks a direct presence. His rap sits between contemporary boom bap and more current formats, with particular attention to placement, changes in cadence, and lyrics anchored in daily life. Spotted through his solo releases and appearances on the Belgian scene, Absolem has also developed collaborative work through Bitume Caviar, alongside producer Dee Eye, in a register that blends social observation, self-irony, and narratives of journeys. His evolution shows a gradual move toward more personal tracks, without abandoning the technical efficiency that marked his beginnings. The track 'Champagne en canette' illustrates this orientation, combining ambition, social detachment, and a critical look back at the formative years. On this path, Absolem also crosses the universe of JeanJass, involved in the realization of certain projects, placing him in a Brussels-Wallon network where text work remains central.
