Swing

Coming from the Brussels rap scene, Swing first drew attention as part of the collective L’Or du Commun before developing a solo career where francophone rap blends with pop, soul and electronic influences. Born in Belgium, Swing belongs to a generation of artists who favour introspective writing, melodic structures and a delivery that alternates between singing and rapping, with particular care for atmosphere and sonic textures. After several tracks released online in the mid-2010s, he took a step forward with the 2018 project “Marabout”, which laid the foundations of a personal universe built around everyday stories, questions of identity and a production that is both minimal and luminous. Regularly performing in Belgium and France, he extended this work with “Au Revoir Siméon” in 2022, a conceptual project in which the artist explores an alter-ego figure and refines a more narrative tone. Between his work with L’Or du Commun and occasional collaborations with other rappers and singers from the Brussels area, Swing occupies a bridging position between independent rap, urban song and a more experimental aesthetic, while keeping an accessible format centred on lyrics and melody.
