Erika Vikman
Born in Tampere, Finland in 1993, Erika Vikman first became known in the circuit of Finnish singing competitions, before being crowned tangokuningatar, Queen of Tango, at the Seinäjoki Festival in 2016. This background in popular song and tango remains a touchstone of her career, even though Erika Vikman later shifted her aesthetic toward a Finnish pop very much marked by disco, Nordic schlager, Europop and a more frank writing. After several early singles starting in 2015, she broadened her audience with Cicciolina in 2020, then with Syntisten pöytä, two tracks that establish a more defined live identity, between danceable choruses, showbiz imagery and tension between retro codes and contemporary pop production. Her first album, Erika Vikman, was released in 2021. Over the years, Erika Vikman has moved between television, large popular stages and occasional collaborations with artists such as Arttu Wiskari, Antti Tuisku or Käärijä, with whom she shares the track Ruoska in 2024. In 2025, Erika Vikman wins the Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu with Ich komme and represents Finland at Eurovision in Basel, extending a career where the tradition of Finnish song, dance culture and performative pop intersect.
