Jutes
Jutes is a Canadian musician born in the 1990s, shaped from childhood by alternative rock acts like Nirvana, Deftones, Radiohead and Smashing Pumpkins — influences that still feed his current universe. Initially drawn to hip‑hop and R&B in Toronto, he left everything for Los Angeles, signed with Capitol Records and explored a pop‑punk sound threaded with trap sonics. Back to independent status, he reinvented himself with the album Ladybug (2023), a grunge‑rock project that became a touchstone. He then released Sleepyhead (2024) before issuing Dilworth (2025), a more cinematic record blending nu‑metal, indie and hip‑hop atmospheres. His most recent work marks a darker, more cinematic turn, where the weight of nu‑metal and metal meets a hip‑hop‑tinged, indie‑colored atmosphere. Rejecting labels, Jutes progresses through successive mutations, driven by personal songwriting and a steady taste for rough, vulnerable and contrasting sounds.
